28 Too Many is a charity established to undertake research and provide knowledge and tools to those working to end FGM, in the countries in Africa where it is practised and across the diaspora worldwide.

It’s surprising and disturbing that this horrific practice still takes place in what are considered progressive civilised countries across Europe. If we were to bring awareness, we would need something that would cut through, figuratively. It needed to feel like their rights had been infringed upon, we needed to leverage something deeply personal yet universal to almost all individuals, national pride. A national flag is something we all feel personally connected to and strongly want to protect it’s integrity and purity.
